SOLICITED ADVICE #6: Summoning the alter ego?
I removed the paywalls on GOLDEN FRUIT, my first novel-in-progress. I really want you to read it.
Hi Sherry, I’m a fan of your fiction and I hope you never stop writing!
Is golden fruit based on real life? Do you feel like you have to bring out an alter ego to write that?
I can’t wait for this to be a novel:)
A. A.
I decided to remove the paywall on GOLDEN FRUIT (my work-in-progress novel. Aiming for a full manuscript by the end of this year. For now, I’m posting snippets of it that roughly map out the plot).

I paywalled them at first because I got a little shy (hehe). I think fiction is where people tell the truth—where they pour their toxic traits or experimental ideas that they don’t dare share under their real name. But I’m actually proud of it, and I really want you to read it.
So, is it based on real life? When I was 20, I had a classmate who was a sugar baby and her first big bankrolled purchase was a boob job (a good one).
