This made me feel cradled, like someone gave me a soft kiss on my forehead. Off to make a salad with every vegetable on the list

why am i almost crying??? i love this - your writing makes me want to throw open my windows at the first sign of cool, crisp air, to dust and vacuum, to rest and read and read and read, to drink hot tea, to spend time in community, to slow my self and my soul. thank you thank you for your words <3 xoxo

That was beautiful..I offer this—August—it is not an abrupt leaving, thank goodness. It goes with her trailing gown of Black-eyed Susan’s, and Queen Anne’s Lace. She sweeps by holding glimmering spider webs with bees buzzing in her hair. She holds on to life as long as possible! She is building energy for a grand finale! Soon! soon! Such beauty awaits!

I lovveeeed looking forward to September when I was in college a bit further north. The boots. The cobblestones. The woodfires. Now, in NC, I feel like November is my new September haha! But it does make August a little easier, because I still have two more months of summer! Loved this piece Sherry!

This was great! Who knew that anyone could put a bow on August (one of my least favorite month). To me, August is the month of anticipation which, to me, means everyone wants it to be over so that we get closer to Fall, football, leaves changing, clothes traded out....
