In “How badly are you allowed to yearn?” I said that first love often marks us with a fierceness that can destroy adult lives. Do we ever “get over” our first love? Do we have past lives in this life? I asked, you answered. You said, sometimes it sets our standards, other times, it ruins our lives but leave a good memory, and sometimes, it ends in marriage.
Even though these (unedited) stories are completely different, they all seem to say: Love is not a gentle thing, but it’s worth it.
